Claire is a champion for education and will fight for a quality education for every child. Claire has 25 years’ experience working for the Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD), specializing in early education and family involvement. Prior to working for the PSESD, Claire taught pregnant and parenting teens at Mt. Tahoma High School and worked as a senior grants and contracts manager for a City of Seattle teen parenting program. She also has extensive volunteer experience in South King County, including PTA, Citizens for Federal Way Schools, the Building Better Futures Board in Kent, the Advisory Board of the Washington Family Engagement Trust, and the Board of Directors for The Sidekick Collective. She is focused on standing up for children and families, accountable transportation improvements, and affordable health care. In addition to gaining the endorsement of MoveOn members, she has also been endorsed by a wide range of organizations and individuals, such as the LGBTQ Victory Fund, Win With Women PAC, EMILY's List, NARAL, Planned Parenthood Votes, Alliance for Gun Responsibility, Washington Conservation Voters, Governor Jay Inslee, U.S. Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray, U.S. Representative Adam Smith, and many others in Senate District 30 and across Washington. Claire was also named as a Gun Sense Candidate by Moms Demand Action.
