Evetty is a champion of education. She served as a founding corps member for City Year Denver and an Ella Baker Trainer for the Children’s Defense Fund, and she passionately believes that it is important for the District 1 community to be represented on the Knox County School Board and in the school district. Her policy platform includes increasing literacy for kindergarten through third grade for students, increasing students’ exposure to post-secondary school options, and organizing the community to create systems that allow constituents to have a say in shaping education policy.
"She is a candidate that is completely dedicated to education." –Connie from Knoxville
