Beth was a public school teacher for 32 years before retiring to take care of her husband as he fought cancer. Besides teaching, Beth has served her community in leadership roles in the Fort Worth Independent School District and as a member of state and local textbook adoption committees. She is a progressive who wants to go to the Texas State Legislature and fight for adequately funding public education, expanding Medicaid, and curbing restrictions on women's health care decisions.
"She is passionate about issues I care about— public education, fair treatment for immigrants, social justice, equal rights, etc. She is a great communicator. She is dedicated to putting compassion and common sense to work in Texas government and saying no to extremism." —Debra from Fort Worth
