Chris is a dedicated community activist. Chris was a part of several protests at Gary Airport in efforts to denounce its use as a deportation hub in the Chicago area. In addition, Chris is a court-appointed child advocate, along with volunteering with The Welcome Network, an Indiana-based organization that provides resources and services for refugees that are forced to resettle. He believes that income equality is one of the most defining issues of our time, and his primary focus in his campaign will be to push for lowering health care costs, to support education funding, and to advocate for maintaining local control. He has been endorsed by Our Revolution and Progressive Democrats of America, and he has been recognized as a Moms Demand Action "Gun Sense Candidate."
