A father, a husband, and a nonprofit and business leader, Dan Kohl is a third-generation Wisconsinite who grew up and raised his family in Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District. A resident of Mequon, Dan has been married to his wife Stacey for 27 years, and they have three children, Samantha, Ben, and Adam. He is running for Congress to serve people all across the district and pull our politics back from the extremes. Dan believes in universal health care, an open internet, growing an economy that works for all, and putting country ahead of party. Dan joined the Milwaukee Bucks after graduating law school. He worked in a variety of capacities, ultimately serving as assistant general manager. Seeking to reground American foreign policy in the wake of the Iraq War, Dan joined J Street as vice president of political affairs in 2009 and oversaw the development of the nation’s largest pro-Israel and pro-peace political action committee. In this role, he worked closely with federal officials and congressional candidates on Middle East policy. Dan is a 1987 graduate of Brown University and holds a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s in history from UW-Milwaukee.
