Frank McNeill was born January 19, 1956 in Pinehurst. As a lifelong resident of Moore County, Frank grew up in a community that honored the crucial values that make our region great: decency, kindness and hard work. He grew up in Aberdeen, and now lives in Pinebluff. Frank is an Eagle Scout, and, by earning his Eagle Scout badge as a youth, he learned the importance of hard work at an early age. He graduated from Pinecrest High School in 1974. In 1978, he graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Business Administration with a major in Economics and a minor in Political Science. Three years later, he married his sweetheart, Susan. Frank is currently President of McNeill Oil Company, a three-generation family-owned business that was started by his grandfather in 1928. He is the past president of the NC Petroleum Marketers Association, and past director of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America. Frank has served in several elected offices. He served on the Aberdeen Town Board from 1979 to 1989, and then became Mayor of Aberdeen from 1989 to 1992. Frank was elected to the Moore County Board of Education in 1998 and served until 2002. As a small business owner, Frank is a strong supporter of rural economic development and sound economic policy for all. He will fight for affordable healthcare for all Americans. He believes we can do a better job increasing our investment and our backing for our public schools, including supporting our students, our teachers, our parents, and the entire community. He also has a strong commitment to the environment, particularly protecting our clean air and water in the present and for our children and grandchildren. And Frank will never forget the sacrifices that our veterans have made for our freedoms, and he will do all he can to ensure our veterans are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
