Haley Stevens is the daughter of Jim and Maria. Her parents met at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and after graduating, they started a small landscaping company located in Utica, Michigan. Growing up in an entrepreneurial home, self-determination, fiscal responsibility, and hard work shaped a way of life distilled in Haley from a young age. As a child, Haley had a love for history and became a teenager active in public service and volunteering. It is a dedication to serving others that she has carried into her career. Haley served as chief of staff on the Auto Task Force inside of the U.S. Treasury Department, the team responsible for returning the auto industry to financial stability and saving over 200,000 Michigan jobs. She has spent her career in economic and workforce development, creating jobs and bringing economic opportunity to communities throughout the Midwest. Haley was born and raised in Oakland County, where she graduated from Seaholm High School. She earned a master’s degree in social policy and philosophy and a bachelor’s degree in political science from American University with honors and distinction. Haley is a woman of faith and a member of Kensington Church in Troy.
