Joy is an activist and advocate fighting for everyone in California's communities. She is a small-business owner, affordable housing consultant, and health clinic executive who has been engaged in her community for decades. Previously, she was the chief strategy officer for Choices Women's Medical Centers in New York and served on the board of the American Society on Aging, L-Fund of Palm Springs, and is on the PALS Palm Springs steering committee. She most recently served as the lead coordinator for Courageous Resistance, which is pushing for cities in the Inland Empire to become sanctuary cities.
