Parisima is a physician and a proud Iranian-American immigrant who moved to Florida at a young age. She became interested and involved in politics after the 2016 elections, when she saw the injustices committed against immigrants, Muslims, and refugees by the current administration. Parisima serves on the board of directors of the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, is a member of the Opioid Task Force of Fort Myers, and is part of a Physicians for Humanity group that helps organize relief efforts for victims of war or natural disasters. As an alumna of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parisima is passionate about gun safety. Her platform includes banning assault weapons, instituting stricter and repeated background checks for gun owners, and limiting magazine purchases. She has been endorsed by Run for Something, the Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus, Florida Planned Parenthood PAC, the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida, and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, among others. She is also a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate.

"Parisima will speak and act strongly to fight injustice, protect our environment, improve our schools, and enact commonsense gun control. She has been knocking on doors for months and is a keen listener." –Nancy from Fort Myers
