Richard Ojeda was raised in Logan County, West Virginia, and graduated from Logan High School in 1988. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1989. He earned a bachelor's degree from West Virginia State College in 1997. After 24 years of service, Major Ojeda retired from the U.S Army in 2013. Currently Richard is a state Senator representing portions of Logan, Boone, Lincoln and parts of Wayne and Mingo Counties.
