State Treasurer, Ohio

Rob supports progressive policies and transparency in his run for treasurer. As treasurer, he would like to conduct a financial analysis of the Ohio prison system, which currently incarcerates the fourth-highest number of prisoners in the country, partner with financial institutions to support small businesses in Ohio, and work to minimize the tax loopholes created through worker misclassification that undercut workers' rights. He is a dedicated member of his community, trained as an attorney and engineer. As a member of the board of regents of the University of Cincinnati, he helped the university by founding the 1819 Innovation Hub to support students, startups, and entrepreneurs. He also established the UC Scholars Academy for students in the Cincinnati Public Schools district.

"I'm especially excited about his plan to look into a financial analysis of the Ohio prison system. And Planned Parenthood's support of him also inspires particular confidence. And though the issues matter first and foremost, I also want to see more people of color representing Ohio's interests. We've got far too many old, out-of-touch white guys calling the shots. Enough already!" —Devorah from Snively
