Wade is a community advocate with a background in legal services for marginalized communities. He is the executive director of Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors, an organization that helps more than 500 victims of human trafficking, war, and domestic violence with humanitarian legal services each year. He is active in his community as a board member for the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services and the Tennessee Women’s Political Collaborative. His campaign platform includes improving education by increasing teachers’ salaries and opposing school vouchers, creating a quality of life in small towns that will attract business while still supporting unions, expanding Medicaid, and supporting conservation efforts to preserve our environment. In addition to being endorsed by MoveOn members in the district, Wade has also been endorsed by Run for Something, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 429, and Ironworkers Local 492. Additionally, he has been recognized as a distinguished candidate by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.

"I, too, have sharecropper’s roots, and I love that about Wade, but that’s not the only reason I’m voting for him! I am voting for Wade Munday because his platform reflects my personal hopes and dreams for Tennessee. He is committed to addressing the issues that plague hard-working middle-class Tennesseans, such as health care, job creation, higher wages, improving schools, increasing teachers' salaries, environmental concerns, and immigration issues, to name a few!" –Deborah from Waverly
